When faeries first revealed themselves to humans, they were welcomed and praised, but over time, the faeries became feared. Humans rewrote history into stories intended to scare children and teach them lessons, often making the faeries evil or replacing them with frightful creatures such as wolves and witches.
The original stories were transcribed by humans and trusted faeries and preserved to endure the passage of time. The stories became known as The True Tales of the Light Keepers.
